Today the Maryland League of Conservation Voters released its first round of endorsed candidates for Attorney General, Comptroller, Senate and the House of Delegates in the 2010 state elections. Once again, Delegate Hubbard was among the 16 Senate, 41 House, and statewide endorsed candidates that have all demonstrated pro-conservation records, leadership on environmental issues, and an open-door policy when it comes to working with the environmental community.

The School of Public Health at the University of Maryland, College Park has selected Delegate James W. Hubbard of the Maryland General Assembly as the recipient of the inaugural Dean’s Medal. The honor recognizes Delegate Hubbard’s support of legislation and initiatives that are advancing the health and wellbeing of residents throughout the State of Maryland, including a new Maryland Wellness Report Card pilot program and licensure status for marriage family therapists.

State Delegate James W. Hubbard (D-Bowie) has been selected to a national workin group of state leaders working with the White House to advance federal clean energy legislation in Congress. The group met for the first time in late September week via phone, and has since met twice at the White House with President Obama’s top advisors on energy and climate change policy.
